Francophones! I have a silly RPG character to name, and what I want is a French-sounding version of "John Lovescats" (as in "loves cats"). Would that be "John Aimeleschats"?
@patcoet Yes, but the -sch- isn’t very… elegant. You could go for « Jean Aimeléchats » (keeps the sound, and é is so very French), or just « Aimechats », which is a bit « improper » but I think works well for a name.
@patcoet You can also go full latin etymology and pick something like « Félinophile »
