@garbados Well I mean the situation is very paradoxical for people I know : they resent not understanding computers but at the same time they look bored each time you try to explain computers to them. I think they believe in magic. They want stuff to work «the way they intend it to» without ever having to explain what that means either to a fellow human or to the computer. To me the hardest part of what you propose isn't to create a place to help people, it's to get people to acknowledge the importance they've given to computers in their everyday lives and to give the corresponding amount of love to their machines.
