☄️ Ragnarok As A Service ☄️
@Sasha With a side of Cuddling Fenrir ?
@schaptal I can't really imagine what a 'side' would be on a service, but you can't go wrong if you wish to implement a cuddling endpoint in it. Especially for Fenrir.
@Sasha I always feel sad for this poor giant wolf cub.
@schaptal How come ? It's already pretty neat in itself to be a giant wolf cub 🐺
@Sasha spending an eternity tied to a cord just because your father is Loki ? And eating rock (Moon) and fire (Sun) before a big battle where you die ? Where is the joy ?
@schaptal Hmmm when you put it that when, it kind of does take the fun away from it : )
@Sasha One day Fenrir will be bored and he'll switch to a friendler mythological family.
@schaptal That'd teach them. But where could he flea 😅 ?
@Sasha Some First Nation mythologies could be friendly and Coyote can't be worse than his dad. Or Japanese mythology as a moutain kami ?
@schaptal Yeah actually I just wanted to make a bad pun, but yeah probably many mythologies could use a spare dog. It may also be treated well in Buddhism and could get a chance to be reborn into a different creature.
@Sasha I don't see him as wanting to be reborn (and Buddhism has pretty terrifying demons too).
@schaptal He could still get to eat someone if he doesn't want to be reborn. If I remember well there's a friend of Buddha who sacrifices himself to feed wolf cubs. (references supporting or evidences disproving welcome)
@schaptal I read it in Osamu Tezuka's «Buddha».
@schaptal Oh it's a classic manga, not really a mythology book. It was really nice to read and I learnt a lot about buddhism ☸
@Sasha Ok. I'll put in my to-read list.
@Sasha I have several books on comparative mythology. I'll check them on the occasion. This one I don't know.
