Stumbled upon a Daria fan fiction in which Daria speaks several european languages. The whole thing is a bit disappointing, but the french parts are particularly inaccurate.

⚠ Attention, native english speakers : french and english are similar to a certain extent but you can't just translate word to word and expect it to work. «You're welcome» isn't «Vous êtes bienvenu». Not when someone just said «Merci».

(Yeah, I know about french variants from outside France but
- I think you say just «bienvenue», without «vous êtes» in Canada
- it's supposed to happen in Europe anyway, so okay ?
