I'm trying to build a Discord bot (maybe I'll try a Mastodon bot after that but hey we'll see). It looks hard as fuck like I only just installed the packages I need to do so and it build an index.js with strange looking stuff and functions and even if I actually know what I want to do I really don't know where to start, what to change nor what to NOT touch. I know it's just a test build but I don't really know what to do about it.

Well actually I don't know what to do WITH it so maybe I should get rid of that stuff and start coding from scratch.

@Santartine for Discord you have to do all kinds of weird things with sockets and stuff. Mastodon bots are "make a POST triggered by a cron job" 😁

@dconley Yeah my code is really messy right now but hey I'm experimenting stuff. But I really want to make a discord bot because I have a lot of servers and it could be nice if I could create customised bot's for each one of them (and not going with other people's bot, I really want to build it myself)
