@maiyannah yet people who are oppressed have a lot of feelings about it and everytime I've seen someone not being nice about asking people to change it has been because the person who had to change was reproducing the oppression in some way.

And sometimes there's no polite way to tell someone they're oppressing another person. Like, some people don't want others to point out they're doing something harmful.
