srsly this band has such a good atmosphere and Anyone Else's bass line is so damn catchy. Already catching myself singing these love sick lyrics. God, the way Gunn switches between a melodic tone and something more raw is something I really wish I knew how to do

augh this is so good, the emo kid inside of me is so happy (lol) with this album. Half brings in that really atmospheric touch these bands are so good at while offering some really well crafted lyrics. Part of listening to alt bands like this is how genuine these lyrics feel yk? It can be a lil cheesy at times but anyone whose dealt with mental shit can pick out something out of here that resonates with them.

something that rings true for this is when she said she's grown up a lot since her first album, I mean shit, she started touring when she was like 17/18 and ended up touring with Muse at such a young age. She still somehow maintains a really personal connection with fans at her concerts and I really hope I get to see her live at a smaller venue

Starting off with Heaven is a good way to break off into this album. Aside from Heaven and What's Wrong I've tried to keep myself mostly in the dark

okay, gonna call and check on my claim (cause I'm nervous as hell that I haven't heard anything back at all yet) and then gonna start on the new PVRIS album

okay, one album down and jesus christ I'm hoping I didn't just burn the best of the bunch right away. Villains is such a solid album through and through and I'd deff recommend it to anyone on the fence worried partnering up with Iggy Pop affected their sound. Cause the only affect it had was making this album sonically air tight. It that extra punch and this album just oozes that desert rock vibe. I honestly don't think it's any a huge turn about from their usual stuff. It just feels like the next step after 'Like Clock Work' and honestly I'm really loving the direction this album is taking the band in cause LCW felt like it was dragging it's feet at times

this last track on Villains is a great closer. I love how far this band has come and I highly highly recommend this album to any fan of any rock tbh. Remind me later to dig up some jam sessions with Homme and Dave Grohl cause musically these guys are just so musically talented. Had one with Homme splitting the notes and it was all off the cuff and sounded amazing. My favorite part of their shows is you'll never know what you're going to get. You're guaranteed to hear a one time performance of a song that you won't find else where. Some of the best versions of their songs are just thrown out there on stage lost to crappy youtube concert videos
