@Raelynn I just want trans people to be able to live their lives in peace. I want a week were one of us isn't in crisis because this world doesn't give a shit about us and I'm routinely shown the only people that have our backs is each other. I so badly want to protect people from shit like this and it honestly hurts knowing I can't do that no matter how hard I try and every passing year just gets harder and I'm more aware now than ever how little I can actually do to make a difference

@Raelynn @Raelynn but you can make a difference. Every trans person you listen to, give support to, help feel less alone, or boost signals of when they're in need help. No one can change the full tapestry of society, but if enough people weave our own threads, we might just end up surprised -- especially as we inspire others.

@Raelynn the bill is in subcommittee, and will probably receive a LOT more attention once it's actually voted on and looks like a legitimate threat

@galaxgal I really hope so. The Healthcare bill is really starting to feel wacky Saturday morning cartoon villain-ish. 'Quick, while they're detracted, try to pass it again!'. it's like watching reruns of pinky and the brain but with more existential dread
