OK I think I have finally mastered* the secrets to good** hand-sewn buttonholes:

1) Check your work on both sides, especially with thick fabric or layers. Try to be precise with both where the thread goes in *and* where it comes out.

2) Pull snug, but not *tight*. If you pull tight, you end up with a stiff buttonhole whose edges are not as far apart as you intended.

This has been learned through doing a bit, being dissatisfied, and trying again until I'm OK with the results.

** OK if you don't look at them too closely.

Current theory: body & brain are just worn out from a really busy week? And subconscious decided "Hey, it's the weekend, so you're going down, sucker!"

I am, after all, trying to make significant changes in my life right now. And I had four appointments in as many days this week. Five, if you count C coming over for laundry & shopping.

I think it's all catching up to me today.

Yeah... crashing now. Words... how words?

Also: I think there might be room for me to blog (or vlog??) about resources like these! Sort of a meta-review.

Especially since I can tie in other planetary science topics: e.g. how the structure of a planet can (theoretically) influence how it's affected by tidal forces.

Take the example globe in the above video, with a large, north-central latitude supercontinent. Not only will that formation profoundly influence oceanic and atmospheric currents, but if the planet is orbiting closer to a smallish star (late K to early M dwarf), it's more apt to become tidally locked... with that land mass in perma-sun!

The main thing I learned from this is there are a few applications that can help create realistic maps.

Yeah I think my mood has taken a turn for the worse today.

I just want to turtle up and sew and nap. Not deal with strangers in the vague hope of drumming up a little volunteer work.

I can contact these orgs independently. Besides, I don't have voc rehab services just yet.

Once I do, I should have access to help around cold calling (for want of a better term), developing a business plan, and financial support for things like domains and business cards.

Feels... premature? I lack a solid presence. I'm not sure of my approach. So I think I'm gonna focus on self care this weekend.

Meanwhile, having micro dreams in between snoozes… about being tired, unable to move, having my visual field tilted at a jaunty 35° angle…

Finally wake up at ≈09:40 >_<;

We'll have to see if I'm able to scrape myself together enough to get to that resource fair.
