Welcome to my externalised brain, and plan accordingly!

Since I'm glitching out and have to rest for a bit, here's some pretty scenery I found in last night's virtual travel through space.

Aaand... cue the brain fog, it seems.

Dunno if it's fatigue from thinking like a monkey for half an hour, medication induced, spurred by heavyish emotion, or a combination of the above.

Probably a combination; brains and bodies are weird, complex systems that sometimes behave unpredictably. Oh, and I got up early today, too; that always hecks me up, it seems.

So, I should *probably* lie down, but I doubt I will end up falling asleep: the parts of my brain still functioning are mainly in task mode. That can be difficult to break out of.

I just got one of the most poignant thank-yous ever:

"Thank you. You made it possible for me to eat."

That's... yeah. Mixed bag of emotions. Positive yet humbling. I not words now.

Of course, this is self-analysis, and I'm biased. That bias is *usually* negative; I'm my own harshest critic, and I know it.

So, for me to think I'm doing characterization pretty well, that probably means something.

Either that or I'm delusional. 🙃

Even though I can only seem to focus on this story a short bit at time, I'm rather enjoying it?

Specifically, trying to put myself in the mindset of an intelligent chimpanzee. Exploring what he likes, what he doesn't like.

I'm also using some carefully chosen word order and vocabulary in conveying Al's sign language. I know enough ASL to have a sense of its grammar (which is quite different from English).

Between that and narrator commentary, I think I'm doing a pretty good job of conveying Al as a person. One who thinks and acts in ways that are *almost* human, but not quite.

It is done.

My blood pressure sure likes to jump around. Yesterday it was high. Previous check, it was fantastic. Gotta get that BP monitor.

On the plus side, my weight is stable or very slowly going down?

I was afraid it was going back up, since I've had to eat more of late. But nope, just fine!

Glad at least *some* of my health issues are going well.

So. Here's my analysis:

* This class is VERY work-related.
* It will provide structure to my life.
* It will help build my portfolio.
* It doesn't set me back *too* much.
* And it will be FUN.

Once I'm on my laptop, I'm going to register.

Took me a while to decide that this class would be an investment, not an indulgence. But decided it is.

I recently learned that Tracy & Curtis Hickman wrote a GM-focused... tool set? Thingy? (Title in CW.)

And just now learned that it has a m*d-libs type story/plot generator.

That *alone* sounds worth it to me. Mainly because, well, I'm sort of stuck in my own head most of the time; certain synaptic pathways have gotten worn down to bedrock in my 45 years.

Ooh, yeah. Brain fog. Probably because I didn't *actually* take a nap as I thought I would.
