So I just learned that, evidently, there is a *market* for writers wanting to learn physics & astronomy??

That is like… a perfect gig for me?? I might not know *all the maths* but Stars below do I know me some good…

🌠 Orbital mechanics
🌠 Exoplanet anatomy
🌠 Stellar evolution basics
🌠 Basic biology & astrochemistry
🌠 Rocketry 101
🌠 Relatively wyrdness
🌠 Climatology
🌠 Probably lots more stuff! Just ask me! :eo_cat:

Basically, if you want to physics for writing, talk to me ✨🚀✨

Also: Hi, new and recent followers!

As you have probably surmised, I can be quite and often have 🙃

Welcome to my externalised brain, and plan accordingly! :eo_cat:

Listening to Colm Meaney talk about how Rick Berman *insisted* he use an Irish accent, and he went with his native Dubliner.

But what's fascinating: unscripted, Meaney is quite the stammerer?

Makes Bob Newhart sound like he has the Gift of Gab.

This is a really cool, if utterly pointless (and somewhat dangerous) project:

Christopher Simpson's "Spring" sonata is quite stormy, which contrasts starkly with Vivaldi's take and seems perhaps a touch surprising.

Ofc Simpson was in England. Where spring often means storms.

I hope this photo wins. Just a gorgeous painted feel, with contrasts b/w cheapness of tech and not so cheapness of living conditions.

On to some Christopher Simpson: The Seasons, Months, and Other Divisions of Time.

('Cellos need not apply.)

(I sure know I can play the continuo line in my sleep; D, A, B, F#... etc. etc. ad infinitum...)

Ah, and the album finale: the infamous Canon and Gigue in D major.

People always forget about the gigue, for some reason. But it's the part violinists love the most!

(Probably because most have played the canon so often, they could play it in their sleep, lol.)

Anyway, now the album is on to a pleasant set of variations for violin by Pachelbel. Cheery tunes with 3 viols singing along in the background.

A bit more condusive to, you know, *writing*.

Ofc this album has one of my absolute favourite sonatas (2 violins, viola da gamba, basso continuo)... one that takes you on an emotional whirlwind.

I almost always end up crying listening to it.
