Had a very productive session today.

Got hooked up with resources and information about the current state of nonbinary care. WPATH is *just* starting to work on version 8; it WILL include an entire chapter on nonbinary folks.

Also, got intel about the new local surgeon: he is open to considering affirmation surgeries appropriate to nonbinary people.

The practice isn't up and running yet, but my therapist sent him a request to call or email me.

The tide seems to be turning!

I will need to think of a motto (which at some point I'll ping @iustinus for).

Also need good, gender-neutral words for "Sir/Dame". Because "Dir" or "Same" just won't work!

Anyone want to get together (virtually) to start a Witches' chivalric order?

So, the phrase "three sheets to the wind".

It comess from the age of sail: a sheet is one of the ropes that holds down the corners of a sail. And if something has gone "to the wind", that means it's flapping free (and dangerously).

However, sails have at most *two* sheets (excepting some early Renaissance ships, which predate the metaphor by about 300 years).

So if you've got three sheets to the wind, you are *really* out of it!

So... I've been basically hermited away the last few days, reading Schlock Mercenary.

This... is kind of what a nascent depressive episode usually looks like, for me.

I am currently concerned, but not worried. I'm self-aware enough that I can recognise these symptoms before the depression gets bad. Plus, I have therapy tomorrow--gets me out of the house AND talking to help.

@Qwyrdo BTW don't get *too* excited about my supernumeraries. They just look like pink moles a few cm above my "real" ones.

This is actually a quite common manifestation. Usually, bodies recognize "hey, we don't need those!" before they develop fully.

My boobs! They have four nipples.
Four nipples have my boobs.
And if they don't have four nipples,
Then they are not my boobs!
