Self care for perfectionists looks really different than most people expect:
1. Emailing back to say no, even if you've been procrastinating for two weeks.
2. Ignoring your inbox to go for a walk.
3. Recognizing people have needs, but that doesn't mean you have to be the one to fullfill those needs.
4. Taking time to document and celebrate your accomplishments.
5. Asking, "What if I didn't do that?" and accepting that there will always be something that needs to be done that won't be done.

The downside of Clarke's Third Law ("Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.") is that to a layperson, a lot of skilled tasks are "sufficiently advanced technology". Many people treat skilled work like it's waving a wand and casting a spell instead of, you know, work, and so they value the time and skill involved less.
Huh. That sonata in my mind? It could easily slip into a Mannheim school adjacent space. A "Mannheim rocket" fits perfectly.
Of course, it's still thoroughly Baroque (an North German at that). The Mannheim school was several decades later.
Almost gives "retro-futurism" a run for its money! 
Musician muscle memory, question Afficher plus
Today's earworm is another uncomposed trio sonata. Oboe, violin, and continuo, I think?
Cheery yet still unsettled. Main theme has a lot of syncopation. Triple time, vivace. Harmonically, it wants to modulate all over the place.
There is *some* resemblance to the e minor sonata for viola da gamba from Telemann's "Essercizii Musicii", but this piece is in a major key. (Bb major possibly?)
I may have to write it down after breks…

My hometown has lots of lakes, parks, and waterways. I grew up ≈5 blocks from one, and frequently walked 2-4 hours at a time, listening to my Walkman.
I'm hoping I can make time to get back into that habit, body permitting.

Still need to finish the hems and add knee bands, which might require a helping hand. (It's hard to adjust hemlines when wearing the garment.)
Then... more buttons (and holes) for the knee closures, and one last pair of buttons for the pockets.
