STOP WORRY
Hey now, cat. Remember:
You do *not* do well with unstructured... well, *anything*. Usually you need that external impetus to actually keep on task.
This is why you have an ARMHS worker. This is why you spend your time reading, listening, or composing, instead of *doing*.
(Okay, okay; composing is a kind of doing. But it's not doing the thing that will make you the money!)
You should probably just sign up and deal with it.
Besides, if you have a weekly deadline to work with, you are *far less likely* to get lost in calculations converting a Mercator projection into a line-of-sight portolan chart...
I need to figure out whether or not to sign up for this worldbuilding class.
Maps! Character sketches! Short stories! Portfolio padding!
But, also... early for cats; conflicting with standing appointments; and, well, spending instead of *earning*.
Never mind that I could probably *teach* the class.
Ahhh how do I adult >_<;

Stop the presses. I have come up with the perfect term for someone masculine-leaning nonbinary.
An enboy.

@balrogboogie I'm guessing blasta means tasty? Dunno seo. (I really ought to get back to studying Gàidhlig…)
Hey guys! My name is Nico and I'm trans and Autistic, I recently got fired from my job at chick-fil-a (which I hated but needed to survive). They fired me for having a meltdown ( which I informed them would happen if they put me in the dining room because of the sensory input level). I am now unable to pay my Rent and bills or afford food, if anyone could donate to my paypal that would be super helpful(please ignore my dead name on my paypal)
I also do art commissions! You can contact me about getting a commission at Nicocanteven@gmail.com

@winter I think I looked at that a while back, like a year ago?
IIRC I couldn't figure out how to make it use sound fonts and the like. I don't remember if it has notational input or not?
96% of my composition these days are for Baroque and Renaissance ensembles, with the 4% outlier of marching band or modern orchestra.
Maybe it's a workflow thing? E.g. I should do my initial composition in MuseScore, then port it to LMMS (or something else) to get it to *sound* good? 🤔
Interesting.
IME MuseScore does quite decent parts and scores? But obvs I'm not doing anything particularly advanced in that regard.
It's just clunky at getting output to sound naturalistic. Whence my griping about arpeggiating chords.
And yeah, Sibelius has always seemed to be musical bloatware, for the most part. Industry standard bloatware, alas.
@shoutcacophony What do you use for production, then?
I wish MuseScore had:
A) A not-buggy piano roll editor;
B) An auto arpeggiation tool;
C) A way to set the temperament (tuning) to something other than 12-tone equal.
B & C have to be done manually, note by note. And A makes B *really* annoying.
I am annoyingly tempted to do one of those Ancestry DNA thingies, just of curiosity...
But I'm not sure I trust any corporate entity with my DNA ∑:p
@codeawayhaley Hope you sleep well!
