Feeling... kind of lonely today? Detached from my friends.

Missing touch. Missing kittehz. Missing hanging out and doing crafty or other creative things with folks. (Not collaborative, just parallel.)

So yeah... been in a sort of emotional rut for a while? Not severe, just not pleasant.

But on the positive side, I've been working toward my goals. Making progress, if slowly.

Hopefully soon things can really take off for me. With voc rehab, until services are approved, I'm sort of in limbo.

Anyway, yeah, I'm OK but just... meh. I'll manage.

All shorthairs. 2-3 orange tabbies, a grey tabby or two, a plain grey cat, and at least one tuxie, one tortie, and one patchy.

One of the tuxies was named something like Mesota or Mendota? On first meeting, I startled her, so she was shy for a bit. But eventually she warmed up to me.

Needless to say, naptime meant ALL THE KITTY SNUGGLES

@BillyKaplan Hmm; I don't have any experience w/ SB.

In my experience: city politics trump state politics. I think my situation technically qualifies on that front, though the metro area politically dominates the rest of the state.

Given your need: I, personally, would err on the side of caution? I.e. break the "I'm trans" issue once you have a job offer. If SB balks at that, well... that's honestly grounds for a lawsuit.

So, yeah. Tricky. My instincts and experiences are founded on things probably different than yours.

I've seen friends locally take this approach and succeed. I'm in a position to stand on principle. IDK.

I.e. if you're in a trans-accepting area and not desperate for employment, do it?

If either of those are false, mmmaybe consider caution.

This also depends on your own comfort levels. If you need a job to have a job, are you OK being misgendered daily? It's a real balancing act... ∑:s

Oh, another observation (and slight revision to my percentages):

It leaves out otherkin.

So I'm more like:

* 75% furry (catte)
* 15% scaly (dwaggon)
* 6% otherkin (faerie)
* 4% birb (emu)

Though I think it's clever, I can't really place myself on it?

Reason being, it seems to imply that inside the circumference, you're measuring across 5 axes. E.g. if you map yourself dead centre, it implies you're *all of the above*.

For my part, I think I'm roughly:

* 80% furry (catte);
* 15% scaly (dwaggon);
* 5% birb (emu).

No buggy or fishy, to my knowledge.

Alright; I think I have the notes I want the harpsichord right hand to have.

Will probably add in the articulation, but stop there.

Adding all the *micro-articulations* is a tedious, if rewarding, task.

(I used to play harpsichord, so I have a *very good* understanding of how not to make the part just go plink plink plink.)

@Efi Yeah, for long range transit, I'm imagining trains might be the preferred vehicle.

They've got hauling power. That means they can pull *big* cars with lots of room for centaur-splay.

Probably ample supplies of hay, too. Bedding and bonus free snack! 😹

@Efi Well for one thing, each floor on buildings would be taller! And doors quite possibly wider. With much higher doorknobs.

Revolving doors? Right out.

I doubt public transport would be needed: centaurs are quite mobile on their own! Not sure how inter-city transport would best operate.

Vehicles are interesting to contemplate. They wouldn't have seats, probably; just room to stand, wheel and shifting mechanism high enough for comfort, and probably a pedaling system much like human cars.

Not gonna touch those other issues though ∑;p
