@Isoleucine @a_breakin_glass Some of the nuance around "trans" (not necessarily) being applicable might be a generational thing?
E.g. I'm in my 40s & the nonbinary peers I've known all self label as "trans(gender)".
I think it's closer to 50/50 with the enbies I know in their 20s. (Only know a couple in their 30s & not sure how they self label.)
Would make an interesting study if one could get a statistically significant sample.

I just thought of a good mnemonic for what gets marked in ergative case:
The one "doing the work" on something else.
Gosh, THAT only took me about 20 years…

Why in Hecate's name does Tootdon *not* fill in the Starforsaken CWs when replying to a toot?
@a_breakin_glass @Isoleucine For my part, I understand "trans" as "born and socialised as a gender other than your identity"?
So, by my understanding, enbies are trans. Whether or not they experience body dysphoria.
But Stars below I am *not* going to impose my labels on others. That is unethical and rude.
Meanwhile, I actually *do* experience significant body dysphoria, to the point I need surgery. Which is proving to be a big road block.

@codeawayhaley I *almost* intervened the other day when I saw a lady telling her ~5yo that sparrows were birds, just like chicken and ducks.
But I decided it would be rude to tell the kid "they're really dinosaurs!" 🙃
