So: Local Surgeon said he's not trained in the specific technique I was hoping for (using a peritoneal section), but *is* willing to meet with me and talk about my wants and needs!

To this end, I have a consult scheduled on the 8th of May.

Yay!

Obviously this isn't going to result in anything concrete in the *immediate* future. But I think it will be worthwhile on two fronts:

1) I have a chance to get a surgeon thinking about the specifics of a future surgery;

2) I have a chance to hear, from the surgeon's perspective, what the challenges might be.

That will really help fine-tune consults with future surgeons.
