I live in the mid northern latitudes, basically halfway to the North Pole.
Here, in winter, the sun sets *way* too frickin early, around 16:30.
That's because of Standard Time. It bites.
So I just wish we'd chuck Standard Time altogether. It's not like any crops need attention in winter, here.

@Qwyrdo Just so. If I go out for some rabbit photography in December, I need to reckon on the best light being over by 1500 or so. Even today, sunset was at 1800, but the sun rose at 0630. Personally, I'd be considerably happier with daylight from 0730-1900.
