Lead with the good, then note the not-good.
This is a proven technique of offering constructive criticism.
I learned it from my boss at Flying Lab Software, back in the day. He was (and is) a *wonderful* mentor.
He called it "Jedi mind tricks". ∑:ᴈ
@Qwyrdo important NOT to follow the not-good with tepid positivity like “but you’re doing great” or “no big deal, it’s all good”, as that turns it into the classic shit sandwich aka manager’s special, that only causes distrust and confusion.
