@Lapis Oof I remember those ∑X3 Good luck!

As for sprinkling writing practice throughout the day: being Autistic, one of my brain things is cognitive inertia. Switching gears is *hard*. Once I'm on a task, it works best if I stay on it for a while.

That said, finding practice pieces (mostly merchandise rn) might work as a piecemeal thing? Because I don't like it; easier to switch to and from.

Thanks!

@Qwyrdo too. ❤❤❤ I have a hard time with it as well but I've found it helps me start things if I say "ok I'm doing this for 5 minutes/until I have 120 cards left/until the bus comes/until my drink's ready". Stephen King was talking about reading but it applies to a lot of things, that learning to/being able to do things in small bursts is helpful. I know for my language studies it enormously helps my motivation.

@Qwyrdo idk if this applies to copywriting but for fiction I know one thing that's recommended (I'm sure you've heard this) is stopping in the middle. Like people find full stops more challenging to pick back up from. So I recommend that

@Lapis Great idea for other writing, but copy is mostly written in pretty short form? Like maybe a tweet or two's worth.

At most it's usually "Letter From The Editor" length; a page or page and a half.

@Qwyrdo ok makes sense. I don't know much about copy writing. It fascinates me though. ☺
