I hadn't realized how much I'd gotten used to the idea of being harassed on the web because 'hands off' policies from inaccessible site admins were so common.
Being here on masto really made me think about how much the web-based cruelty I had come to think of as """"""normal""""" was in fact unnecessary.

A quick note here too but it's not quite as important as on Twitter thanks to the CW's but. I'm kinda needing a political mental break so if you don't mind putting U.S. politics under a cut that's great. My stepdad and uncle both have cancer right now and I'm just kinda in a stressed out place with trying to figure out their healthcare and this week has been... Rough. At best. But yeah.
