@Riley Mine is being a CSA survivor from my father, then being abused by my grandmother, then dealing with the rest of my family, and abusive friends, and abusive exes.

I don't think I'm helpless, even when I was going through all that. And I don't know about negative so much as protective and questioning. But I'm still bitter. Because I've seen the dark sides of humanity up close way too much in 30 short years.

And I don't know if I can be positive. I've survived so far by being a realist. But I'm tired.

How do people let go of things? How do people avoid being bitter? It's so hard for me. I've let go of a lot. I've tried not to be bitter. But I know there's still a lot of deep hurt there throughout my soul that even with my therapy and meditation isn't just going away.

I would love to somehow be a positive person. That's a lot of work but. Still.

My family keeps acting like I should just be thankful because it's thanksgiving and show up without my wife.

Grandfather writing to me on Facebook with "See on Friday I hope I hope I hope?" Like. No. You will not. You will not see me for Christmas either. I didn't choose this, you all did.

And then 1000% chance my mom is going to try and guilt me again and tell me how I've given her depression because of coming out. And that I made my grandfather cry. And whatever else they can all find to circle blame onto me instead realizing they're being terrible people.
