So, Mastodon instances. There's a learning curve here, and I'm super eagerly waiting for them to get account porting done because I'd like to merge all my accounts and experience different places. Right now, I'm stretched over three over the course of my experimentations. Soon to be four.

I don't think there will ever be a merge per se. The account migration they're working on would move you from one instance to another but wouldn't merge the two, if I'm understanding what I've read from folks correctly.
@PlanetaryKnight That's me theory too, but I'm hoping that if it's brought up, they'll figure out a way to make it easy for those of us with multiple accounts to transition into the instance they choose (of their several). Without losing too much. :/

Ah yeah I'm not sure still how that specific part will work. It *sounds* like They're trying to figure out how to make it all move with you but as someone who knows little to nothing about code that sounds really hard.
I'm not expecting it to happen anytime soon, anyways. :/
@PlanetaryKnight It's for sure complicated. Like they say, lots of moving parts. But not impossible! It's been bumped to their highest priority, so that's good. But yeah, we shall see.
