Today I idly wondered: does melted cheese contain more calories than non-melted cheese?
All the answers I've seen on Q&A sites say "no don't be stupid!"
But cooking does increase the energy we can draw from food:

And it seems kinda obvious that we can draw more energy from food that's easier to digest? But maybe less so when you think of it in terms of "adding calories"?
