I feel like my brain is down for maintenance.

Apparently in the five days that I was gone after school has gotten so bad that everyone is now just standing around chanting “we must protect this house”

Had my long distance best friend as a house guest since last Wednesday night and yesterday afternoon she had to go back home. Today I go back to work and in so many ways I am not ready. u_u

I feel like I should turn those writing prompts into like #promptober or something. I know I’m working on a deadline with my big piece right now but seriously those little ones are so quick and refreshing.

Tattoo is peeling something fierce tonight. Should have moisturized it more during the day today (I say, knowing full well if it's gonna peel, it's gonna peel). Still in love with it. #fuckthechantry

Kinda feeling like I might build a pillow fort for Sukkot and just stay there for... maybe ever

Pals, this new Forza is honestly majorly exciting as a spectator sport. The track gets slick when it rains and everyone has to slow down by like 20mph and do defensive driving and its exactly the right level of stressy, especially if you're not playing. If you like racing games this one is pretty swell. (And I shall play it at some point but the partner just got it and I don't want to steal the fun yet, but even watching it is tops.)

P sure that as a grown-ass adult who doesn't eat meat and only very rarely eats fish that mac n cheese and fish sticks is still one of the best dinners of all time .

And don't get me wrong; I'm aware that I have things I need to go back and shift and change to make the foreshadowing work more smoothly. I know that. But then there's this little voice in the back of my mind that's whispering in my ear, "You know this isn't even worth it, right?"

Trying to stay focused while writing this piece for Uncanny Mag and it's just so hard. The fact that I like parts of it only makes it worse because I don't want to fuck up the parts that I like by finishing it with more, less good words. But I need to get it done. I need to write an original piece of short fiction ffs, but there are so many parts that are making me hmm skeptically and I don't know if it's just writerly self-loathing or something deeper.

@Paperclippe I’ll put it behind a cw out of courtesy (and try to thread it together as well but I’m a hot mess). But if you like weird eldritch flash fic maybe keep your peepers peeled?

@Paperclippe It has given me an idea though; I’ve really wanted to write some flash fic based on the D&D list of magical items (this is weirdly specific I know) and I think once I am done with this piece I am submitting to (and let’s be honest will ultimately be rejected by) Uncanny Magazine I’m gonna try and post some ultra-short fiction once a day just to keep my brain firing.

So I am Not an Artist but I LOVE #inktober so much and will sigil all that sweet sweet art. Post and boost that shiz my way because it makes my life so much better.
