Bad news: I hadn't been working out because of all the med switching and side effects and I did yoga for the first time in ages today and it was just a simple shoulder opener and I got so nauseated during it I had to duck out during camel pose. No me gusta. Will try again later with something super gentle, but I don't think this med is gonna work.

Good news: I started working on my Pacific Northwest Stories/Dragon Age crossover parody again.

In honor of seven years of Dragon Age II, I think I'm gonna post a chapter of literally every single fic I'm working on.

So if you just hit upon "17776" and you're wondering if anything like this has ever been done before and where you can get more, rejoice! Non-linear/new weird fiction is really coming into its own. I glommed on at a young age and never let go. It's strange and wonderful. It/they is/are some of my favorite stuff and I love talking about it, so if you have any questions, just ask!

Lost Signals is a collection of stories about secret transmissions, numbers stations, and radio waves that... change you. These stories are all told more linearly than any of Danielewski's strange fiction, but the mood and tone and content is quite similar.

First and foremost, I highly recommend Mark Z Danielewski's "The Familiar" which begins with "One Rainy Day in May." https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23012473-one-rainy-day-in-may

I won't even attempt to tell you what this story is about; it's told from the viewpoint of several different people: The leader of a gang of drug dealers, a dirty cop in love, two parents, one who writes in code and one who writes in academic notations, and a little girl called Xanther who suffers from seizures and can see rocks over people's eyes. She has a little cat.

A lot of the comments I'm seeing are saying seeing how weird and cool and strange it is - and you're right! It is!

But there is a lot of fiction like this out there! I won't overwhelm you, but I'm gonna throw out a few things you'll probably like.

Just had to clip all of my beautiful nails into the trash bin at work because the ticking on the keyboard made my finger joints hurt too much.

When you don't wanna eat but you feel worse for not eating so you just chop celery and lettuce into a bowl and eat it with a fork because that is both food and not food

When in reality it's the opposite: I don't want a preventative because when I take them with the rescue meds which I end up needing anyway my capacity not just to do work but to function as a human being is reduced to just above zero

I don't know what I hate more: being in pain or being on these drugs. At least these ones don't affect my mental state (insomuch as they don't actually change who I am as a person, like my last ones).

But I am really considering going back to being on nothing daily and just taking the rescue meds, but I'm afraid that'll sound like drug seeking behavior: no I don't want something that stops the pain I just want something that fucks me up

I am completely fucked up on my prescription meds right now (I take them for migraines) new daily one makes me constantly nauseated and dizzy (might just be adjusting to it, which is normal; have only been on the full dose for a few days) and I had to take my rescue meds for a migraine and I just feel dizzy and hot and cold and awful and I am stuck at work for two more hours and then I have to walk home. I legitimately might throw up on my shoes.

Anyway my birdsite is a bit of a garbage fire right now thanks to some ill-timed retweets so does anyone wanna talk about anything that isn't politics? Maybe fanfic? Maybe cats?
