Bored and can't focus on real things so I'm getting real into learning French >_>

Cannot focus on shit today. Today is the first day I'm fully off of my old med, and it could just be a mood, but I think I'm really feeling it. I can't wait until it's out of my system entirely. I feel like garbage.

Well my meds are making me feel like trash but we're jamming to Euphoria in the office so it could be worse

Okay you know what I think I'm really gonna try to learn French. I'd been trying to learn Swedish for a while... but all of my Swedish friends (and Youtubers and Eurovision hosts) all... speak English.

Not just because of Masto but definitely influenced by it, it seems like it would be a lot more useful. Not to mention I took seven years of Spanish (of which I remember about thirty seconds) so I've already at least got a basis (and yes I did take some French too).

Alright, let's do it. Let's learn a thing.

So it does make sense. I do get it. Her methods are sound. And I do see her again in... almost exactly a month now.

But I just have the sneaking suspicion that I'm going to spend a very good portion of the next four weeks feeling like shit in the service of eliminating a particular treatment from our little box of possible treatments, and I'm really tired of feeling like shit, especially now that it's summer, which is the only time of the year that I really ever feel good anyway. I feel like I'm losing time.

And I really do get why she put me on it: if I went from one antidepressant right to another psych med, I would have to wait along time for the old one to fully clear my system, and then wait a long time for the new one to build up, but if we're just trying stuff (which is definitely the phase we're in now, I've only been seeing her since march), then she could put me on a BP med the day after stopping a psych med (after tapering off, of course) - which I've just done. So there's less turn-over time between meds and I can try something new sooner and faster.

I'm also just generally not digging on being on a blood pressure med in the first place, even though I've seen a lot of people say that it's helped their migraines with minimal side effects. But, at least before I started my other med, which made my heart all weird, one of the reasons I stopped it, I had low blood pressure anyway. So I'm mentally preparing myself to feel like shit for the next could of weeks until I see my neuro face to face and say, like, hey, I get why you put me on the BP med, but for real that's not the problem.

First day on new meds (in case you missed the saga, switching from an antidepressant to a BP med for my migraines). Nothing major so far. Only started on half a dose. Feel slightly nauseated, but that could be for a thousand reasons.

The worst part is since stopping the first med, which is sometimes used for nerve pain, all of my joint pain has come back, especially in my arms and wrists.

Started my new meds today and while it's way too soon for them to have done anything to me, I'm exhausted and I feel like shit. It's probably from finally coming off of the old meds honestly but I'm in a lot of pain and I'm so tired

I love listening to books read by the author, especially non-fiction and science books. They get so excited about their subject and it brings my heart much joy.

Even as someone who is undoubtedly she/her and a little bit femme, I still think I would rather be handsome than pretty. Petition to bring back "handsome" as a descriptor for women.

Put an Anders background on my phone and now I feel like I can take on the world while looking very grim and handsome
