I think I wanna cover a Green Day song. But which one?

Writing so much my whole upper body hurts and it's kind of amazing

But I'm happy just to be writing so fervently again. It's really cutting into my reading time, but whatever. Thoughts gotta get out. It's how I'm channeling my rage

Been writing absolutely compulsively lately. My side project has completely taken over my life. I wrote twenty-five pages by hand last night and I love it.

Now I'm to a part that I wrote previously and I have to rewrite it, because the tone of the whole piece has totally changed. It's so much darker now. This is not where I saw this going.

Boost if you're a leftist, think pineapple goes on pizza, or just wants gay girls to kiss you.

Good news: I started working on my Pacific Northwest Stories/Dragon Age crossover parody again.

In honor of seven years of Dragon Age II, I think I'm gonna post a chapter of literally every single fic I'm working on.

+sad realization sets in that I am working on too many fucking things+

I read a thing on domestic cat socialisation that effectively said cats start 'conversation' with an idiosyncratic vocalisation that identifies them, and functions as their 'name' (paraphrasing HEAVILY). Based on this, I have discovered that my cat's name is "[firmly] BRRLM" and mine is "*gasp* halLO!"

If you like podcasts like Sayer, Limetown, or Tanis, you'll probably love all of these books - and The Familiar is an ongoing series. So if you just hit upon "17776" and you're wondering if anything like this has ever been done before and where you can get more, rejoice! Non-linear/new weird fiction is really coming into its own. I glommed on at a young age and never let go. It's strange and wonderful. It/they is/are some of my favorite stuff and I love talking about it, so if you have any questions, just ask!

Anyhow, that's Mark Z Danielewski in a nutshell.

So if that all seems intimidating, have no fear (actually have a lot, because horror).

My next recommendation is a book of short stories called Lost Signals, edited by Max Booth III. goodreads.com/book/show/285917

Lost Signals is a collection of stories about secret transmissions, numbers stations, and radio waves that... change you. These stories are all told more linearly than any of Danielewski's strange fiction, but the mood and tone and content is quite similar.

You might know Danielewski from his other major work, House of Leaves. goodreads.com/book/show/337907

House of Leaves is famous for looking mostly like this: witches.town/media/x9GOYxOzeHs

Instead of saying more, I'm just going to share some images from the book. This is the actual text; this is how it is written. witches.town/media/y5Zlpgjj0cy witches.town/media/5nirgzQU2Q1 witches.town/media/0dCYt6LcTaZ
