@cmdrspacebabe Hiding oxygen bottles in the head. Clever idea.
@Kimiko_0 I do not quite understand the "guérisseuse", "poison" and "pie-grèche" in the second list. All others names relate to someone who can read/see the future, one way or the other (hence the opposite "aveugle", meaning "blind")
@Kimiko_0 @Louvelune True. And those synonyms as (imho) linked to history/culture : what was really important at some time to survive (as for the I-do-not-remember-how-many words for "snow" in some north-pole population language). So, around here, with burning at the stake being the funny event you could be scheduled to, we made a lot of different words...
@Louvelune @Kimiko_0 Yes ! That is why french should be the universal language.
@Louvelune @Kimiko_0 Yes, of course. I'm dealing with uses, not definitions. On my (old) Petit Robert (Kimiko : it''s a dictionnary), "sorcier/sorcière" is defined as "someone who practices some primitive, secret *and illegal* magic".
@Kimiko_0 If we go through your list, "cartomancienne" and "devineresse" have almost the same function (read the future). But cartomancy has long been seen as black arts, whereas ... divination (? lacking proper english word) is on the other side. Pythonisse and thaumaturge are somehow more neutral - but also almost never used (higher level of language).
@Kimiko_0 It could be "magicienne" (woman magician). But "magie" and "sorcellerie" are opposed (in our little part of the language spectrum). Magicians are the good ones. Sorcerers the bad ones. No real middle ground.
@cmdrspacebabe Not very practical to go dancing
@warrenellis I'ts a Besson film. Not a lot to expect, and a far cry from the books.
@d6 How can someone who has 6 E in his email address run such an instance ???
@mus You should modify /m.dia/ to law-abidding /stuff/ or similar.
:flag_gb: Two-factor auth, there should be a validation phase (ask the current 2FA code) before activation on an account.
