Re: English v. Russian: it would be cool if Mastodon could split tweets in different languages to different timelines (even better if it allowed choosing languages one can understand), but it might be harder than I think. Anyways, a good way to detect Cyrillic languages is /(а|я|о|ё|у|ю|э|е|ы|и)/ — but Mastodon only allows hiding toots by regex in the home column, not in local/federated timelines

@ale It seems Mastodon is currently (too much) centered on latin-alphabet based languages. Maybe it's just an user-interface problem (splitting timelines, organizing your screen space another way, etc.)
