Just typed into my game design google doc:

“Mid-conflict anime bullshit flashback that lets the character get stronger” Mechanic

The hack has a ton of extra bosses, enemies, abilities, balance changes, costumes for characters and they took a bunch of music from other final fantasy games and recreated them in the FF6 soundfont, it's real cool.

It would be cool if we got a translation of FF6-T.

The Japanese romhacking scene in general is really cool.

Just make with the humanity-cleansing nuclear Armageddon, already.

My beautiful Android gf looks so good in Dragon Ball Fighter Z

Okay, more detailed:

Difficulty is a tool that a lot of games use to create dramatic tension, and/or to help build a certain atmosphere or aesthetic of play.

It's not a tool that every game needs to use, of course, but it is a valuable one.

I like hard games.

Sorry. I tried to be a fake gamer girl and I failed.

Translating a game dilutes the original creator's vision.

What, is learning Japanese too hard for you, you filthy casual?

@grime_witch True, but I'll take a deeply "problematic" but emotionally honest work from someone queer over any amount of squeaky clean "good representation" from straight people.

I love the guy who does paint tutorials for Games Workshop. Listening to him talk about grimdark Warhammer 40k stuff in a voice suitable for a Thomas the Tank Engine narrator is real good.

@bea Maybe? I just want fandom to go to bat for real gay people as hard as they do for fake gay people.

In 2018 we respect queer artists more than queer fictional characters.
