@aprrrl The animation isn't a problem for me. But I'm kind of blocked at episode 16, which I watched 3 times already, and I went a bit past it (like season 2 episode 3) but... it bothers me too much. In this episode, oppressive violence (similar to racism) is placed at the same level as revolutionary violence. And... I don't get what exactly this anime is trying to tell me, but I have the feeling that it's a shitty opinion.

@Nocta that's really useful information and kind of something I worry about from a team of all- or mostly-dudes making a show...

@aprrrl The other people of witches.town that I talked to about this concern told me that they didn't really notice it, and it is okay in the end, something like that.
I don't know, maybe I'm over-reading into it...

@aprrrl

At least the topic of oppression is addressed, and until this episode it's shown as a real problem/oppression. (it's oppression against "faunus", people with animal ears/limbs). But in episode 16, the suffering from one of the main characters, which is a faunus, is compared to another main character's suffering, which parents got hurt in an attack from a faunus organisation because they are really wealthy and are an important part of the oppression. I find this concerning.
