I was stumbling across this article about callout culture, it's similar to the concept of calling in, but they're calling it "politics of imperfection and responsibility". It was a good read. sometimes I think it's not to the point though, sometimes I think it's not about callouts and purity, but about internalized shit and being hurt and taking it out on each other. another thing where patience and love for fellow activists isn't a bad thing!

About last boost: can we talk about how much data ads consume? How this affect those with slow internet connections?

The way this kind of thing is implemented can be the difference between accessing a website or not. It also can be TERRIBLE for those who use some kinds of assistive technology. Have you ever thought about using a screen reader with those intrusive ads? Spoiler alert: it's a terrible experience.
