@witchfynder_finder @HTHR there's a very smol subculture in steampunk which is actually interested in commenting on the global european imperialism and erasure of native cultures during the victorian era and uses the genre to do so but it's definitely not the mainstream version

Because you're the [unpaid] workers that earn them billions of dollars in capital.
When you don't post, they don't get the benefit of your labour. And when you don't use, they lose money.

I'm relieved, because had this gone in the other direction, it would have been a nail in the coffin for me---this issue is deeply important to me, which I made clear. I structured a lot of my personal time and research around these projects knowing they would be free/libre, and they would not otherwise exist.
And it's a nice demonstration of the benefits of corporate use of the GPL as copyright holders. In this case, Copyleft made my job pretty easy: competition wouldn't be able to make use of our projects without releasing code, which made the legal department much more comfortable.
Yes, this is a Soviet board game called ”Cooperative”. When you buy all the three businesses of a given field, like recycling or repair of electronics, you can invest in production lines to profit more. The board includes a rock recycling business. 🤔There is no prison, just a square named ”holiday”. This sounds a bit suspicious, since one of the lucky chance cards is a ”get out of holiday” card. 😳
