I hope french people learning english get as confused about "pants" being plural as I do about "pantalon" not being plural 😵
@vi I don't know about "pants", but yeah, I remember being a bit confused about "jeans" (we say "un jean")
@vi exactly! And that's not as if we didn't know how to do it: we do have "lunetteS" for glasses, "ciseauX" (scissors) etc... but, yeah, jean HAD TO be singular :D (do you know the origin of "pantalon"? it could help you understand... Its' the name of a character in Commedia dell'arte, I think)
