Hi witches, poke @spiderrobotpig Before all, try to understand I don't like rap who take it to seriously, cause even if we have some bad places to live in france, "gangsta style" is often sound a litle bit cheesy for me. I'm focusing on text or rapper who make fun of others (but don't fall in the "parody" and understand the style), also I will miss a lot of good "serious" one cause my culture is pretty sh**; let's go ! IAM : Before them french rap was seen by adults like a style "import" by america in our radio and just aggressive cause it's coooOOol you know ? groups like IAM and MCsolar (must listen too !) are the one who can watch all the old bourgeois in the 90's and say "I have culture, i can critic you with my lyrics and show you how you are dumb to judge my lifestyle"

Big name here, "JoeyStarr" who is THE pro-ACAB in our country (we can listen and sing "nique la police" in street action when cops are next to us). When my mom would make a point about rap being "dangerous" she showed NTM

So this 2 are for the "historical part" of french rap, now you have to listen the rap who talk to me really. fast forward in 2010+ when I begin to feel more "liberal artists" than "son of rich alt-right"

STUPEFLIP : Ok so we are here, stupeflip sound not like rap, do not promote rap, feel not like rap, but have fucking better lyrics and beat than all the rap I listen, You have to listen the entire CD A to Z with them cause they often cut the song between two sentences just for making mad the producers. So do I cause I hvae fuckin to much to say in 1 toot.

And they literally hide messages/stories/and a universe in their tracks. Sometimes melancholic, gore, sometimes pop cause "it's the only shit who is selling good today" (I swear) They hate everybody and it's feel great. Each CD are a "stupeflip era" and it's the only group which i can say this without rolling my eyes.

The cool rap, the love rap, the intelectual rap. Powerfull lyrics here and when lots of their track save my relationship when I just have an argument with my wife. Just listen and have a taste. Maybe difficult lyrics for traduction cause ther is a lot of "puns" and words creation.
