I don't understand the choice the esrb have made regarding loot boxes as a form of gambling. It is gambling. You do not always get something when you pay for a loot box.

If you get a duplicate, and you cash that in for credit that is a loss of money. For some percentage of your money, you got nothing.

Doing this repeatedly has exactly the same effect and mechanics as gambling.
