@mimtschan I say: Use what you know. Learning something new first to do a project will probably just result in the project never starting.
You know MySQL? That's your database. You know angular? Use it.
You know that everything *can* be done with with everything *somehow*. Projects are constant problemsolving anyway, you are just choosing the flavor of problems -- but it's ultimately arbitrary.

So when I say that I struggle with getting started on tasks that I'm not sure I'll be able to finish, it's not just a matter of "oh, just do it". I have decades of reinforcement of the idea that if I don't see a path to success, that means I don't HAVE a path to success and should do something else instead where I DO see that path. It's not just "I don't wanna" - it's a core belief drilled into my brain that I have to work to overcome.
Two children have just completed a task. Both are praised for completing it.
Child 1 hears: "You're so smart, good job!"
Child 2 hears: "You did such good work, good job!"
They feel roughly the same, but there's a substantial difference. Consider the implications:
Child 1 hears: "You have an innate ability that allowed you to complete this task."
Child 2 hears: "You did a lot of work that allowed you to complete this task."
Now do you see the difference?
@rey I watched a couple videos and cleaned the heads of my drive with Isopropyl alcohol -- Read errors are greatly reduced! Still happen sometimes, but it's definitely better.
Unfortunately I discovered there probabyl is a battery in my RAM expansion that started leaking. It's in a metal case that is soldered shut so I think I will just replace it...

I have a maybe dumb question: Can a 3 1/2inch floppy drive be cleaned to improve read/write errors? Does it actually help? My Amiga 500 does not have a hard drive or anything, disks are the only thing it can boot off of and use. It constantly gives errors that are resolved by just trying again.
