got a letter from my uni asking for a mere £17.68 monthly donation
£17 fuckin 68!!!!!! that's nearly 20 heckin pounds, 20 pounds per bleedin month!!!!!!! who do they think i am, the average graduate of my uni???
a year ago i got a phonecall from them doing research into what their graduates were doing 3 years after graduating and all that
the guy on the phone asked "and what's your salary if you don't mind me asking"
so i told him my salary
"and what does that come to annually"
"that is my annual salary"
"ah... ahh. right. right ok. let me write that down"
@envgen hahahahaaa, I've had that exact conversation with someone who then bewilderedly tried to argue with me that minimum wage was X, so I couldn't be making Y per year with all my qualifications. He was very sad indeed when I pulled out the maths and broke it down into inividual weeks from my big spreadsheet.
