MyHermes just emailed to say they left my parcel in a secure location ie the porch.
My house doesn't have a porch so now I have to go put some clothes on and do a scavenger hunt I guess?
Update: it doesn't seem to be anywhere on the property that a person could reach without keys? Not in the hedge, not in the recycling, not even on the garage roof or the back garden where someone with a very strong throwing arm could reach.
@CaptainKateCapsize we had some post for number X on our street despite our house having a big sign at eye level labelling it number X-5 and when we took it over they hadn't even got a "we left it with your neighbour" card, the employee had apparently forgotten between doors
@Murkrow It's surprising anything ever gets delivered really :)
Our usual Hermes driver can generally be relied on to get things right, but she will always, without fail, give me a lecture on garden maintenance.
@Murkrow I've had them lie about delivering stuff before, and then it turns up the next day or so or something. :/
@Murkrow A few weeks ago they left a parcel with a neighbour half way up the street, and left the "you weren't in, we left it with X neighbour" card with a *different* neighbour. Because they're good.
