@Murkrow my old office had silverware. Otherwise yeah. You just need a mug or bowl and a spoon though...
@deathmlem sorry, I mean metphorical spoons - it's a unit of energy used by chronically ill folks.
Still - you have to remember to keep oatmeal in the house, and pack it up, and get to work early enough to eat it before your shift starts? Or pack a flask of boiling water to make it on the train? Am I understanding right?
@Murkrow At my old job, there was hot water from the coffee maker (commercial style) and silverware, so I just bought a box of instant oatmeal.
The vegan spoonies I know get frozen stuff from Trader Joe’s and reheat it.
@Murkrow I kept food in the office. I work at a grocery store now. (I guess these things are of no help 😅)

This sounds sarcastic but I'm genuinely curious. Do vegans just get used to eating cold food all the time? My small town's hot food selection is largely omnivourous with a cheese and onion option for the vegetarians (my vegetarian mother tells me growing up she lived on cheese and onion pasties because there was nothing else for vegetarians) and if I was having a low-spoon morning I doubt I'd make it all the way into the city 30 minutes early to get some hot falafel. Do you have to budget 30 extra minutes into the day for getting hot food? How do you eat when spoons are in short supply?
