@vi for me une veste is lighter than un manteau but I think it's only because that how my mom categorizes it so we picked it up (and maybe the length too)

I don't make a difference in english tho

@sempervirenx if I was going to admit there is a difference -- which I'm not! -- I'd say jackets are heavier than coats 🤔

@vi @sempervirenx jackets stop at the waist or hips, coats cover the booty.
