a hot writing take just from looking at my ad - all representation aside not all writing is going to be tailored to your liking, especially if it's a kid doing the writing. I am still steamed about that but like if you're 2x years old and looking at some teen's writing and going "ha this is horrible" then boy howdy I've got news for you.

Since we're talking about story preferences here, I like stories where the characters find themselves, tbh. That seems to also bleed into the kind of characters I create, since Melissa mostly only has a vague idea of what she wants to do for example

a friend saying they're angry abt something and going to have to confront it makes me think I did something wrong idk why but I am having a bit of an anxiety

money is a bit of an issue too, that's for sure

Maybe I'm having too much empathy for fictional populuses, but that's not the point. The game seems to revel in and enjoy torturing citizens as a valid form of gameplay, it'd be like if you could enslave individual pops in great detail in a Civ Game.

There's a point in which it's like "You can either exterminate these people or use them for food or enslave them! :D" and I'm over here like "Okay, that's excessively detailed sort of way over the line"

I like Stellaris, but I think the level of detail in which it dives into some of its less savory mechanics (what happens when you take over a planet in war and what you do with the people thereafter) makes me go "UH"

I don't need constant attention but pls just acknowledge I exist...
