I've been seeing a lot of ppl talking about this sort of thing on birdsite so it just popped into my mind oop!

Bigotry isn't a binary, it's a sliding scale, I think a lot of 'allies' that act offended about things being pointed out tend to act like they peel off the first layer of bigotry and they're done when in reality it's a constant work to improve your own heckin character.

Hot Take - I absolutely hate when people in my friend group claim that their coworkers are lazy. I work pretty much every part of the store where I work and payroll is stretched so thin for a lot of chains that people absolutely have to respect the fact their coworkers aren't given enough time to do their JOB. Yell at management and corporate instead.

Maybe some people don't work that way, but I think at least a second readthrough is necessary in a lot of art. Especially if their perspective and own style is wildly different from yours.

Really, honestly, I think collaboration is the best part of writing. I dunno how I could *actually* do it alone without at least talking to my friends about it

This is something Gloaming does really well by the way, their cast is so huge and diverse in terms of goals that they manage to have a full-feeling world!

Really, for writing I think peeps need to nail down that people have goals that don't just revolve around or against the protagonist, that's a really key factor to making a world as opposed to a single loop of a story

I don't exactly consider myself a role model but I have 1500 followers and I do feel like if I put out a Bad Message then it may influence a lot of peeps! :o So I'm generally a lot tighter with what I say nowadays, but I wasn't in the past.

Especially since some of the other older peeps (whom are even older and approaching their 30 or ARE in their 30s) tend to be Worse than the people who are younger, it's wild and bizarre the figures that are most normally looked up to are actually probably the biggest perpetrators of Bad Behavior, huh
