What I really don't like is when people make racism a casual character quirk like
*👀 at Wakka from FFX* "oh he just has to get over his hatred for Al bhed" like, NOBODY yells at him over this.

I have very mixed feelings about this in gloaming because like , "ha ha, these people are in the ghetto" but it's also like, we had to have a long discussion about how in reality that sort of thing stretches into every aspect of life, but it's also very clearly stated that Navroya is the bad guy place, so I tend to give it some leeway

(Semi hot take) Fantasy Racism is bad, and people tend to like, low key include it into their stories by othering groups (whether it's pokemon or otherwise) without actually understanding what this does

I am 9000% glad that there's like 800+ pokemon and that I don't really witness any plots about characters refusing to interact with each other b/c species (Except for like, Absol, but c'mon y'all)

I can't be too angry about it , since she didn't exactly know, but, still, that sounds like something you ask about

I wanna talk about something cool or happy but most of what I do is work (retail) and writing/comicing, so it's hard to really put a bead on what'd be good to talk about! :o

My brother said that sliding the table full of trash he made into his room was a 'good wakeup call'
but it didn't actually do anything about it like-- my pal, saying you're going to do stuff then not doing it is not a good look

especially since they openly and publicly show praise to other people, but not to me, so it feels like I get the stick much more than the carrot

Which is a frustration I've been harboring with both Waka and Meg for a long time, they're good at the negative side of criticism but they fail to be supportive to me about the stuff I've already done a lot of the time and you know what? That kinda hurts, you can't constantly be like "well you need to fix this and that" without going to the other side and saying "but this is good!"

especially since I respect you guys a lot but you're *never happy* with what I do

constructive criticism can be positive, you don't need to treat me like I've fucked up everything
