So yeah, I've been a bit into bdsm. It didn't last for very long, and I'm still kind of a newbie. I had some interesting moments, sadly with not that nice people.

I just wanted to tell, since the music I am listening to reminds me of bdsm. Being restrained by your own will, accepting orders and that human nature isn't what we're told is "the norm" in society. Being tied helps me free myself. Being in subspace is a very good way to deal with the burden of my life, at least for a moment.

The trick sadly is that in my case it's easy to get addicted to it. And it doesn't solve anything. It just helps.

However, the heavier the burden on one's back, the more cautious one must be.

What's fun with subspace is that you forget everything basically, body feels good and mind has only few focus that are strong enough to erase social weight. In a way.

But it comes with the fact that if you goes out of subspace in a too violent way, or aren't taken care of : it all comes back in a very strong way.

Subs are more fragile than dom' in that regard. But it works basically the same for doms'. To forget the binds of society. In a way that either gets closer to its extreme, or get far from social norms.

What BDSM taught me, among other things is :

-Society is but a facade, an illusion that people try to follow with all their might in order to get along with others. Society is a link that is created by the need of such a link.

-People follow that illusion, and sometimes realise that what they follow indeed is : an illusion. So they try to find what's true, and that's one of the way some people arrive in the bdsm "community"

-As free as people try to be, or think they are : the bounds of society are too strong and link them to the notions of norms, even when they think they're freed of it.

-In the end, it's neither all dark or light.

My favorite part of the bdsm is how links between people evolve for a moment. I don't really like the "community" part of the bdsm, which is often elitist and repeat society's norms while trying to avoid looking like it.

It's all different according to partners and it's mandatory to take that into account. I lived both wonderful, frustrating, and horrible moments.

But in my "ideal" relationship : it differs with the partner and paying attention to that partner allows to discover many new things. Which means there is no ideal bdsm relationship. But all of those with attentive people have a chance to blossom beautifully.

@Morgane This is starting to get close to my triggers. It is very true that the links that are created can be the best provided by the BDSM. It is also true that there are many very toxic people in those circles.
