If you liked the overly specific combat in SMT, or the overly complicated connection editor in The Desolate Hope, then Buriedbornes would be up your alley.

One such example of buriedbornes is the fairy class. She uses piety and intelligence based attacks, (PIE and INT.) She also has 1 hp, and is immune to all types of non-direct damage, and DoT. She uses barriers, which in her special case, absorb entire attacks, but sometimes atks can break multiple barriers. Her skills involve rebuilding her barriers, or using powerful spells that cost barriers to use, along with the normal sets of skills you can use. So her meta strategy is usually to build her abilities to doing a lot of stacking poison damage and attacks, so you hit once or twice, and spend the rest of combat dedicated to rebuilding barriers. fun stuff

god damn i am so addicted to this phone game called buriedbornes. it's just like.. too good for a phone game tbh? combat is simple, but the complexity is in options, equipment, skill management. and maximizing encounters. It's a constantly evolving puzzle in which you must constantly swap out your equipment and skills in a randomized dungeon in order to upgrade and take on further depths without dying. and theres permadeath, and insane synergy in some equipment and skills

so last week i was having horrible anxiety and my dealers were too swamped to get to me. so i had to ask my dad for some medical stuff, and i've been good. My dealers were finally able to hit me up today, and it was really nice, and we talked about how awkward texting is, and we were pretty understanding of each other, and it was overall just really nice. :)

I mean, not really. I'm not really the best person to ask because I like to use the fantastical in a figurative or self-reflective manner that sidesteps the question of faith. But don't feel like you don't have to embrace these sorts of things with a sense of faith.
