@ambyrb maybe sometime i can do co-op with you. I can confidently play through the game at a lesser exploitless-speedrunners speed. I've been playing it a lot lately and i love experimenting with builds and helping players fight bosses.

@Ordalia godd i watched a video by vaatividya that was just fan speculation about the interconnectedness of all the souls games and it got me thinking about all of the intended metaphors, and different interpretations. How blood in it is used in such a significant way, usually representing the toil for something better, and the interconnectedness of everything. and the bloodletting of a deeper and more harmful sickness.

the other 3 daughters being Nashandra, queen of drangleic, the major antagonist. the maiden of the Iron Keep, who came too late to corrupt the kingdom, as it had already fallen. and Elana, the queen of Shulva, who plagued a kingdom with poison from a slumbering dragon, slowly decaying it. when the dragon woke up, it destroyed the city in rage. It was then purified of the poison, and after that, rest in the one mountain with all of the dragons, a safe zone of sorts, since dragons were free from the curse and wanted to isolate. lore is fun

@Ordalia that aspect of dark souls is realyl great too. and thats touched in a major way in ds2. from manus, 4 daughters inhabited drangleic. 3 spread the destroying and corrupting darkness, but one fought past that predisposition, and protected and cared for the ivory kingdom. it's not inherently a thing of malice, which in symbolic terms can represent a whole lot. it's its own touching little plotline with the history of the king, queen, and kingdom. caring and understanding, and the allegorical unknown not necessarily being such an awful thing.

dark souls2 has a beautiful narrative of the essence of life and its significance to people. also meaning, memories, and coming to terms with nature. more than DS1, it explores the personal implications of the curse of humanity. you play as, and are surrounded by many people from distant lands, gone to the kingdom to hold onto a fading sense of humanity, holding onto memories and personality before it ultimately disappears before the curse of humanity turns everyone into a hollow. Im explaining this badly but theres a lot to it. Basically it explores CW without going overboard, while using a lot of flowery symbolism. gonna write a essay l8r on it

They did before in the 60s-80s, but did it very badly and not with enough sensibility, which is why they havent tried again. But I think now is a ripe enough time for a mainline marvel superhero to take a step towards a more radical direction.

I gravitate towards Tapatio and Redhot a lot. Even though they're not very sophisticated or fit for gourmet, or high scoville meals. But the ones that are are so niche, and they're harder to obtain. The hottest thing I see in regular stores is El Yucateco or the extreme tabascos. Not a lot to work with. And the gourmet stuff mostly comes from new york, like Queen Majesty.

@Maenad Honestly if there's Redhot at the house, Sriracha is the last thing on my mind, cause both are very much "put that shit on everything" type of sauces. My ranking of "put it on everything sauces" that I mentally gravitate towards would be like..
First Redhot, then Tapatio, then Sriracha. Sriracha can get tiring after a while, is the problem too. much like ketchup.

Lastly, with some adjustments to his character design, he would be a good champion of the people, in a real sense, if he was cut from the nationalist roots, and had a canon reboot, a la New 52 or Rebirth.. With the right writers pushing, he could be much like Green Arrow, the more socialist coded DC hero, who thematically parallels Hawkeye. Also It is in your face: nazis can take hold of your government during vulnerable times of national security being a concern, and periods of high civilian panic and xenophobia. Or, realistically, if they didnt skirt around it, it happens invariably in a state and with capitalism.

Okay so I havent indulged like this with weed for weeks, and was using it very moderately and medically. So now I will review Cap America Winter Soldier.

Okay so it basically is like, a Metal Gear Solid plot. Bucky is so much like Raiden in key ways. Captain America is the disillusioned soldier, much like Big Boss post-MGS3. And it even has the same type of narrative. The perils of a security based society, the evil that can come from bureaucracy, secret keeping, and overly authoritative invasive surveillance government. It's really good, and surprisingly anti-authoritarian, to a degree.
