@Nerdcoresteve
Yeah they're much more of a tongue in cheek band that liked to have fun and poke fun at stereotypes.

The legacy of kain franchise uses the word fulcrum way too much in its dialogue

gonna go watch superhero movies and tv shows with friends and my brother cause we're prepping for a superhero pen and paper campaign

why would rick ross even say he knew the real noriega if it was that easy to disprove.

@Nerdcoresteve
Also while still on this tangent, there's several common stylistic approaches in Gothic Metal specifically....

symphonic/epic: adjacent to symphonic metal, it's soft with powerful emotional lyricism. Lacuna Coil, Draconian, and The Gathering are like this.

death-doom fallout: These are death doom metal bands who go more fantastical, dramatic, and rich in imagery and sound. Katatonia, Sirrah, My Dying Bride

goth rock but heavy: Keeping it to the roots of the goth scene, but heavier. Type O Negative, Paradise Lost, Tiamat

I was dreading this day but Wisecrack did an episode on the philosophy of Evangelion. Sigh. Fuckin Wisecrack Jared is the worst part of the channel.

@Nerdcoresteve
This is off of Comalies, and is 100% Gothic Metal. More on the symphonic flowery side of it. They don't get nu-metally until Karmacode in a semi-way, and then fullblown on every album after that.

Im going 2000s with my long sleeved mesh shirt under my short sleeved graphic tee and NOBODY CAN STOP ME

@Fidgetcetera
Oh if they're marketing that way officially then that's obnoxious and dumb.

@Fidgetcetera its just jargon. every game genre has it
