It was a troubled time where mortals began to divide themselves between kingdoms. There lived a great human warrior, a legendary hero from countless battles named Vordental. Tired of fighting, he had started to build his own kingdom, Ansreal, which he wanted to be a land of peace and prosperity. Vordental was a leader of men with impressive charisma, a general worshipped by his troops. Had he died fighting, he would undoubtedly have become a minor war god. And it was this exceptionnal man that Nyx chose.

Under the guise of a mortal woman of peerless beauty, she travelled to the mortal world and seduced Vordental. It wasn't easy, as the general was entirely focused on his project and didn't care for distractions, but the goddess was not easily dissuaded. She was, after all, a master at manipulation. She had centuries of experience. At last, Vordental went to bed with her, but several months passed before Nyx concieved a child with him. She disappeared immediately her goal fulfilled, leaving the hero distraught and heartbroken. He never learned who she really was, nor that a child had been born of their union.
